The Skills I have Learnt in MiXchange
Website Skills
2022 has been a whole year of learning. It has been awesome learning so many new things.
I think one of the coolest thing I’ve learnt is how to make a website. I was very interested in technology and figuring out how things worked and why they did what they did and now I can see how websites work and what to do to make them work. I’ve been enjoying figuring out how to link everything together and how to make things look nicely done. It may not be very intricate but it has been so much fun creating this type of thing and seeing it work.
Design
This year I’ve learnt how to make logo’s and how to do branding. I learnt how to do digital art, that was a big desire for me, obviously because I enjoy drawing and making art. So having the opportunity to do my art digitally was and is amazing. I was quite unsure about it in the beginning but the more comfortable I got with it the better it got. I think my favourite part of doing art and designing is the outcome of how it looks. In the start of any project you just have to put many many ideas together and make something out of the ideas to work. It can get a bit chaotic but it is one of the most fulfilling feelings to see the final product and having it used.
There has been such a growth in my drawing and the enjoyment in it. I have had the opportunity to teach some of the other MiXchangers about logos and what takes place in the process of creating one from the start and the theory that goes into logo making. I really enjoyed that class. They had to do assignments and hand them in, `i really enjoyed seeing them express themselves through their own logo. I’m excited to see what’s to come in the future.
